INDI at Paris Design Week 2016

Paris Design Week is one of the most important design events in the world. In the beginning of September the city becomes a colourful cocktail of design, décor and art, which connects not only the most vibrant world stars in.  Here, new fresh discoveries are made and the newest design tendencies come to life. Maison & Objet, systaltic in the conference palace, becomes the heart of the event each year. But the din of design shakes up the whole city, prospering in the most unexpected of places. In one of the most impressive, Les Docks, INDI along with other Lithuanian designers and design brands presented their work. This great project arranged by the Lithuanian Design Forum and Lithuanian Embassy cultural attaché received lots of compliments. Les Docks stands out in the diverse mix of the Paris Design Week not only for it’s amazing building architecture. Many talented starters presented their fresh and original design ideas here.  A fan without a propeller, a chair of desired color which is made in the booth in a half an hour, lighting object which you can fold up, and so on. “These diverse new ideas are a refreshment for the eyes” most visitors kept saying. INDI received an incredibly big amount of attention. Curious people kept asking what material we use for our lighting objects, marvelled at the illusory impression of weight and unbelievable physical lightness.  It is obvious that here, at the Paris Design Week, striking visual identities bloom, business and culture collide and a real hunt for ideas and inspiration takes place.
